I use "blue falcon" as a way to find other vets in a group. It's a great way to figure out who served without having to actually ask. If they laugh (or at least don't look terribly confused), they served.

We never used Blue Falcon in the USMC in the 80's. However, I once had a guy tell me that he was a former Marine and then I asked him how tough his Drill Sergeant was in Basic? As soon as he answered I knew he was a poser! Marines have DI's in Boot Camp....

Yep, I almost just spit out my coffee laughing. I wouldn't expect civilians to know these terms off hand, but their guesses were killing me. Haven't laughed this hard in awhile, haha. Good and light hearted based on the parts I watched.
