Contrary to popular belief, he didn't charge the gunman, but he did try and warn others. I'm glad he was willing to tell the truth about what happened. Does this episode teach us anything about jumping to conclusions? Either good or bad ones?

Chris Mintz recounts ordeal....this guy is one tough soldier. But this incident is something that has changed his life forever. Let's hope it is for the better..

Stories with hero's and villains make better copy for the media. He never made the claims about charging the gunman. He set the record straight once he started talking. That displays his level of integrity for not allowing the story to be told incorrectly.
We didn't jump to conclusions. The media reported things that were not true/vetted correctly as being true. We accepted the media's story as accurate since they are allowed on the scene to gather facts and report them accurately. For anyone that still believes the media to be competent, here is one more example of incompetence to add to your scale.
