I went threw many years of being sick and money for tests. I would like your opinion on how I can spread the word to others who have the right to know the truth what happened at Ft. McClellan. Here are a few articles you can copy and paste the links in your browsers to read that will explain a good share of it. You will be shocked to read. But please if you no of anyone experiencing health trouble and were here please spread the word. Be there to help them with it if you can, I spiraled into a depressed state when I found out the news and had no one I shared it with for a long time. People are not supposed to see soldiers cry I thought to myself.
After reading some of this don't you think other soldiers have the right to no and fight for what rightfully should be? I showed symtoms during basic training there at Ft. McClellan right away. But once released to civilization doctors throughout my life have scratched their heads how I could have so much wrong and now we no why. This is very sad and affects many. I get paid at 100% finally but only because of the symptoms I proved started in basic and have gotten worse as I got older. But I am so sick now Bed is my home almost half the week, meds nurse coming 2 times a month. Meds are not the full answer if they could make the stuff why can't they make a cure for those affected? They said at the VA they cant believe I've lived this long.

There are so many articles coming out now but I did not know my health troubles came from this all until three years ago but severe now to the point of no working the VA said..What makes it even more sad I was not told by the Government I found out threw the news. Would rather heard from another veteran, military personnel or the government. And had someone to relate to for a few minutes while it sunk in. That hit me hard I went threw a bit of betrayed feeling and anger but it is not my country mans fault or my brother and sisters in the military that did this. But in my heart I feel it is our duty to help our fellow military members from going threw what I have and not knowing why. It may also save them alot of medical testing that is not needed and get right to what is needed to maybe save some lives. Can anyone give me your feedback on how any of this can help my military and veteran family?

There are pages on fb that are devoted; to our situation, and support. No one should have to face this alone.

Thank you SGT Francis Wright, I did join one of the pages on facebook but it turned out that one was just to sign showing that you were there cause I never hear anything from that group. I seem to have many here that make me feel good about me again and that I was not the failure in this part of life. Just going that many years feeling that way was sad and I never felt it right the past few years to look at my discharge ceritificate and it says General under Honorable conditions because of medical they caused. All veterans given a discharge this way should be given an complete Honorable nothing more said about General types I wanted mine changed to complete Honorable to hang proudly on my wall what they did to me and my family I think I and all others like me from that place deserve this much. They pay me as if everything honorable and all but when I look at that piece of paper it just hurts sometimes that they couldn't just say Honorable on it. It was not my fault what they did to me. But Im not the only one there are thousands of us.

I worked right next to all of the fenced in areas where they dumped mustard agents and a lot more. Our smoke generator even used water from a spring next to the building. I started getting sick after being there a year. It kept getting worse after I left there. I left the Army in 93 and was diagnosed with RA in 94. Even though the flares started on active duty, the VA has refused to even acknowledge the connection. The last time I filed a claim for they wrote that they would not consider future claims for the same thing, even though I provided some evidence I had found online. I'm at 100%, but I would still lkke them to admit what we were exposed to. There are lots of people who have developed autoimmune diseases after working there.

I agree with you I am going through so much here. I never would have moved so far from a va hospital had I been told now it makes it very difficult living this far away. Mine also started there at Fort McClellan. I had documents while stationed there when I passed out had dizzy spells, broke out into rashes, was getting running noses and bleeding from my stomach. I had all those reports and they continued even getting worse with age. They would not put all the things on my review why I am 100% and doctors outside the VA want to treat me right away for anxiety or depression and not check my heart, my kidneys, bladder or any of the other things even now that they no they have had to do surgeries on those items or remove some they still do not confess to the whole store. But this link says potential how can being there drinking the water, walking on the soil and breathing the air be considered potential? And as you read the side affects you will no you were exposed by what is going on in your life we also got hit by Monsanto and feel we should have the right to sue them too.
