Can you use last month's leave days for the terminal leave?

I'm filing for URQ and was wondering if I can use my leave days from the last couple months for terminal leave (transition leave).
Sample form makes it look like I can only use the days of leave I collected on the day I submit the application, but what happens to the leave I collect after that? Will I be able to use them for terminal leave or I can only sell them?

You can use whatever days you will have accrued by your requested ETS. Any leave you don't take as part of transition leave will be sold when you clear finance.

You may include the number of full days of leave accrued prior to your separation. If you separate between the 1st and the 6th, you will accrue .5 days the final month. The 7th through the 12th accrues 1 day, the 13th through the 18th 1.5 days, the 19th through the 24th 2 days, and the 25th or later 2.5 days.

My separation day is July 10, and lets say if I have 0 days when I submit in January I can request for 2.5*6+1 = 16 days and leave on June 24? And if I use days in between that time it'll automatically get subtracted from those days? Thank you very much!

If the zero is your 31 Dec leave balance then you are correct. You will need to adjust your start date for any leave you take prior to the start of your terminal leave.
