No, they can not.
More like a "one of these kids is doing his own thing" kind of pressure.
But not force.
So long as you are wearing the uniform correctly, an authorized uniform is authorized for wear.

The mix of uniform items is true. In my unit we have some Soldiers that have been issued the new OCP's but we don't have the correct patches for them so they wear the ACU patches with them until the new patches come in. Some Soldiers order the correct patches online or at the PX if they're in stock, but others choose not to spend their money on it when it's supposed to be issued to them.

Same thing for some of our gear at the moment as well, for example I have a wet weather top in OCP and bottoms in ACU.

No they cant. They can't make you buy them prior to the wear out date.....but bear in mind it's the Commander, 1SG, Training and OPS NCO that designate what the duty uniform is for whatever evolution you are doing. Besides, you have a annual clothing allowance.

No they can't... For starters if you don't have the new ones the old PTs are still authorized and the commander can add but not take away so the standard is still the old ones they cannot make you wear the new ones before the wear out date of the old PTs.
