May be in the works is not the same as IS in the works. Have you spoken with your medical provider to see if they will be initiating a Med Board? Have you spoken with Retention to see what happens when this kind of situation comes up? They're the SMEs. Ask them.

SPC (Join to see) - Well, your Dead Man profile is reason enough to pull you from the rotation as your Commander didn't feel it was worth the risk. Just stay in contact with your medical provider.

SPC (Join to see) they usually take all the profiles with them and put them on White Cell at NTC. Even people in leg casts can count carts at the Shoppette or hand out bread rolls in the dinner line

The PEB will not even enter you into the MEB if you have less than 90 days to ETS. Once you're in the MEB, you can be extended to finish it.
I would advise that you just go extend a year now. You don't know how long it will take to get from where you are now to the start of a med board. You still have to be treated, go through treatment, then get a permant profile, before your MEB can start. That can be six months to a year.

My understanding is the Army will hold you in until the are done with the MEB. Were you sent or recommended to I think its PEB to be sent to MEB. Your NCO over you can recommend you for one. I may be wrong. I know other hear have more experience in this.
