Hi, I’m a single mother in the military. I’m the only provider for me and my child and the only parent he has. With that being said, is hard to pay for daycare and he’s normal necessities alone. My family agreed to watch over him here and there. But will I get in trouble for leaving him with my family often. He will still be leaving with me often, but will be stay with my family too sometimes so I can afford day care. Do I have other options? Will they take away my BAH?

No No No! You cannot get in trouble as long as YOU have legal custody. It is no one's business who watches your child.

I live on post so I don’t see my BAH anyways. But I was told my chain of command can make me move back to the barracks if my child is not with me 24/7.

SPC (Join to see) your child doesn't have to be with you, you just have to have legal custody of your child.
