I have been doing DTMS for roughly 3 years and have come to enjoy and hate it at the same time. DTMS is not user friendly, but when you have passed the hate barrier and embrace the suck, it's not so bad. There are tons of people saying DTMS NEEDS to go away, but since it's here to stay for the time being let's make use of it and actually school train personnel. Thoughts?

Ive taken courses, and taught my whole Bn on how to properly use the system: as well as pulling reports. With all this work, it feels like I am doing this more than my primary job. Even during deployment, I was still being asked to manage DTMS.
When i first took the class, the Instructor said he didnt have certs on him so we'd have to make them digitally in DTMS. Not sure if that was the right answer from him.

Definitely the wrong answer from him due to the fact that it's a 40 hour course. I'll dig mine out and post a picture of it.

Everyone has had an additional duty that they did more than their primary MOS. I'm a 35F - do you think they taught us how to do personnel security, physical security, brief on overseas travel and so on in AIT? Nope. But that's the majority of what I did my first 4 1/2 years in as S2 - even some during the deployments.
