I am a retired Army Veteran, who pays for Tricare Prime. As well as I use VA medical benefits at a 30% level. In the last couple of years my husband and I have had to take official guardianship of a 3 & 6 year old grandchildren. We are both retirees, I retired with the highest rank and carry my husband as a dependent. We are struggling with making ends meet. Any thoughts and assistance would be great.

Yes. If you have official legal guardianship paperwork take with BC, ssc, ect to your local Deers ID card facility with the proper paperwork you can enroll them into Deers since they are your dependents with legal custody. I would call first just to make sure you have all the paperwork. I'm not positive if its 30% or more for dependents through the VA but I would go to the local VA and find out.

Can you give me guidance as to where to start to get things in the systems correctly?
