Can a Soldier on a temporary profile take a RAPFT with an alternate event (Stat Bike) and be counted for promotion points?

AR 600-8-19 Chapter 3, Section IV, 3-16 Paragraph b (2)(a).
"Soldiers with a temporary profile that prohibits taking one or more events of the record APFT will continue to use their current record APFT score as determined for promotion points provided it is not more than one year old."

Yeah i saw that. The Soldier will need a record at the end of the month but is also waiting on promotion to list to come out

Yeah, so it's a little different for us in the Guard. We only get one crack a year at the EPS board so it's kind of imperative that we get an APFT in, but if the soldier has the potential of being on the promotion list next month, I would just allow the profile to expire and ensure the soldiers completely healthy rather than attempting to go against it.
