Best non-military moment of The Cold War?

Watching Sportscenter and they are doing a special on the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey team that pulled the upset and it got me to thinking. What is the best non-military moment of the Cold War. I know that I am really not old enough to remember it first-hand, but I am truly motivated by some of the historical moments.
