One interesting fact is the growth rate is significantly lower compared to the private-sector.

Choosing to serve in the military is one of the best choice a qualified, willing, and selfless individual can make in their life. The military is not something everyone can handle and those select few (1% of the population) chose the harder path. Serving in the military is not only the most difficult thing an individual can endure, it's the feeling of self worth, purpose, and overall satisfaction of making the world a better place. Families of these selfless individuals also feel the demands/constraints of this lifestyle and the feeling of comfort of should come without hesitation. Even though the compensation will never match the duty to protect our freedom understand that it's not about the money. It's about protecting the right to remain a free and unified nation. No matter how small the military gets, how low the raises are, or how much the BAH gets cut military members will continue to do their jobs and protect the right of being free.

Bless the military families, fellow brothers/sisters and thank you for the privilege to earn the title of United States Marine!!!

Semper Fi!!!

I think it will get worse, budget issues coupled with our debt will make it difficult to continue the spending.

There may be other benefits that the military will have to issue in order to keep good service people in.
