I've had two NCOER. The first one was ok, but the second one is basically really bad. So is it safe to assume that my career is basically the end or is it something that I can overcome?

Depends on WHY it's bad.
Late to formation? You can recover.
Got caught masterminding a prostitution ring at Fort Hood? Probably harder to recover.

No Article 15 or any arrests. It's a culmination of little stuff and underperformance. I'll definitely take this as a lesson and perform better in the future.

Most things are recoverable as a SGT, unless it's something ridiculous.. It's once you make SSG and have naughty items go into NCOER's that are viewed by the DA board that you need to start worrying about QMP/QSP.

SGT Park,

Let me be the example, I received a great NCOER as my first, and an iffy second NCOER, and got promoted. You as an E5 are not expected to be perfect. But you can over come anything if you put your mind to it.

Sgt Park your career is nowhere near over. You are a SGT and are expected to be groomed and developed as an NCO. Now when you hit SSG, that's when there isn't any room for error. Whatever you got on this Ncoer will not impact your career as an NCO and define you within your profession. Keep your head up and keep grinding.

Thank you SFC! Other NCOs are pretty much telling me the same thing. One thing that I've learned from this event is the importance of first impression.
