If you already read the criteria to earn your Blue Ribbon and are convinced that your profile will past muster, feel free to post your request here. Some admins suffer from insomnia....lol. Don't forget that the help desk can assist you as well. Pay it forward. Help out the other members to get theirs. V/R, Uncle Mark.

I'll never forget when I was stationed in Hawaii and I went out to a bar called Nashville's for a buddies bachelor party. We asked the waitress what she would recommend...her response, "We have this new beer called PBR..."

SSG Squires it is not a Bronze Star ribbon its a Medal. Remember that you do not want your smart ass soldiers make fun of you. I cannot speak for the Army I can speak for what I have seen there is a medic out there who has two BSM's with V devices he was an E4 last I saw him there are a couple of people I know who actually earned their BSM's and I am sure there are many people who have earned theirs as well. But I can name 26 soldiers who were given a BSM as a tour award and not one of those people left the wire, is this appropriate no! I will guarantee you there are thousands out there that were given as tour awards. And yes it does seem that E-7 comes home with a BSM and leaves many younger soldiers asking questions. It is one of the many injustices you will deal with in your Army career do not let it get to you. I was waiting to catch a flight once and heard the CO tell the XO to write a blanket award for the Unit to get CABs when the XO said Sir only 3 of soldiers were in the contact the CO said he did not care, and there you have it.

I know the actual device is a star. I was poking fun at the blue ribbon award this site awards and at the same time giving a nod towards the brons star discussion that is currently trending.

As I mentioned in that thread, I feel that the Army award system has become inflated.
