It seems to me that Sprint should be cutting back on everyone's monthly billing if they are going to do this.

That's a way to restrict access without restricting access..... fortunately I have Verizon and i rarely use that much data Sgt Kelli Mays

Well, worry not, eventually they will either force you off your unlimited ( I assume you are on unlimited), or find that it will only cost more to restrict speed from a small amount of unlimited users.

Shame, I'm on the internet all the time streaming stuff. Ohh well I like the unlimited even if it isn't truly unlimited.

It's happening industry-wide. The impact that the top 1% volume users have on the larger population is very dramatic.
Honestly, MOST people us between ~1.25 and ~2.5 GB per month of mobile data. Key word: mobile. If you're using the hotspot function as your primary wireless, it's not being used as designed.
That said, I don't think there are very many good reasons to remain on postpaid/contract at this point.
Even without plugging my company, I recommend looking very seriously at non-contract options. They typically offer the same level of service at considerably lower cost, and offer in many cases some real cool benefits (like 100% Veteran-Staffed member care, for one!)

no... it is design to combine entertainment into smartphone. So 2.5 GB is like nothing if you start listening internet radio and online video. Even worse if you start watching Netflix on smartphone. :)

With the ubiquity of public and private wi-fi (a better pipe, BTW), the industry says otherwise. Noted, for OUR demographic, sometimes it's tougher to find, but remember we're less than 1% of the US population.

Its only when you hit 23gb of data - the average user uses less than 3gb per month. this is getting blown way out of proportion.

AT&T already doing that long time ago. That is why they eliminated unlimited data plan. But the existing unlimited data customer still hold on to it. So the only way to "force" them out of unlimited is to restrict the speed to unlimited user.

MAJ (Join to see) - Yap same with me. But even though is slowed down, but it is still good enough to listen to internet radio and play none-HD videos. So I just keep going. what is your highest data usage? mine is 25GB a month.

MAJ (Join to see) - You can check that out on the billing webpage they got. They keep track of your usage on everything down to very details. They will use those info to sale you a limited plan eventually. tell you that is cheaper and you don't use that much data anyway.

Being that I do Security for these folks, I can neither confirm or deny anything other than that which has been reported that Sprint is 2.65 Billion Dollars in the Hole.
