Hello Everyone, it's been a minute here. I wanted to know if there are distinct differences between a US Army 42A (Human Resource specialist), an enlisted position from a 42B (Human Resource Officer), an officer position - the only thing I noticed from my findings so far is that 42A requires ASVAB test scores while 42B does not. Does this also mean that 42A is more superior?

*chuckle* I'm sure SPC Snuffy in the orderly room thinks so ☺
Aside from being related (they both work in the human resource realm), they are completely different with the most significant difference being the 42A is an enlisted MOS while the 42B is an officer MOS. Two very different career paths in the military.
You asked something like this question a while ago* and the information you received as responses hasn't changed since then.

Does MOS 42A or an HR role in the US Army have a Commissioned Officer path? | RallyPoint
I have a question and I would appreciate a clarification... If MOS 42A (HR Specialist) has no officer position on the US Army website, how is it possible for an active duty HR specialist to be currently a Captain? I thought as an enlisted officer - one will be in the category of non-commissioned officers...

Yes, the major difference is that one is an Officer and the other is Enlisted. Signature Authority would/could be another difference. Briefings on Admin status given to the Battalion/Brigade Commander is primarily conducted by the Officer but on occasion is done by the Enlisted.
Oh. And there is another major difference. The Pay scale works in favor of the Officer.

42A is a commissioned officer HR professional . 42B is enlisted HR professional. There is also a warrant officer, but the identifier escapes me
