To clarify, not me. I'm asking in regards to my patient population. Found the answer. Short answer: AR 600-20 and AR 40-562 have very strict qualifications for a religious exemption. Basically it's so convoluted to be nearly impossible, and can be revoked in case of imminent threat.
So if you are to be PCS'd or deployed to an area with endemic typhoid, you're getting the shot.

AR 40-562 states the qualifications to receive a religious exemption. Yes there are numerous steps that will have to be followed and it can be and usually is a very long process.

Again SFC (Join to see), you can always request the plant based immunization ps as well for any patients with reactions to the regularly used animal by product vaccines. This would probably save a lot more time and head ache in the long run. Just a thought.

Going to Korea in 1968 only to be greeted with some shots in the arms - then came the big daddy of shot. Two huge shots in the ass that hurt like hell for a week.

Not to sound like a smart A but what religion if you don't mind my asking? To my knowledge though, medical readiness trumps it all. I could be wrong.
" Readiness is number one, there is no other number one."

No, or not when I was in that I know of.. You are free to sign ART15 for refusing an order, and then the separation paperwork that will follow shortly though.
You have NO right to be in the service, if you CHOOSE to be in the military, you accept the requirements there of.

Or you fight the system like hell , such as Sikhs did and won.

Best get started, might take a few dozen years

The only exemption I am aware of is an allergy to the vaccine. The Allergy must be documented. Policy for the Anthrax vaccine and Small pox When Deployed to Area Where In-Theater Commander Accesses a Biological Threat. These were the two shots Soldiers had an issue with. A Federal Court did suspend administration of the Anthrax Vaccination for awhile. The Army had to show the Court who specifically was required to get the Anthrax injection and that it was safe.
Several soldiers after taking the Anthrax Vaccine requested MED. Boards Some had severe reactions So the Army has to weigh any procedure against any potential claim against the Government. Which leads to constant revision of Vaccination schedules when new vaccines are introduced.
