I'm looking to connect with other military artists here on Rally Point. I'm also interested in ideas and contributing to one another to come up with new ideas.

Not sure if I consider myself an artist as much as a guy who gets it done when there is a hole to fill. All of the "t" barrier work and things I have done for commander's, CSM's and the Soldiers has usually been like this: "anyone know someone who can paint or draw a picture"? So I have painted aircraft parts in OEF#1 in 2002 at Kandahar, drawn tent maps with personalization, drawn two prints for the units deployed, painted numerous "T" barriers, 12 windows for CH-47D aircraft, NVG visors for helmets, face plates for them also. I basically just draw and paint when and where I can. Of course I also volunteer for the Foundation For Hospital Art and paint with all servicemen and women while serving overseas. Of course you know I did a sketch of a brain storm I had for a memorial also, which thanks to you has become more reality now.

Hand paint and draw on anything, aircraft parts, rocks, glass, whatever they have and I have at the time. Thing is, hand creations are not as appreciated now as they once were!

I am not an artist but I have a friend who is.   He does hundreds of hand sketches every month.   He was also a Vietnam Veteran with PTSD and these paintings help him cope with the stresses of his life.

Yet another at Forecasting School at Chanute AFB,  where a Petty Officer was drawing in chalk,  sketches of his classmates with captions.   After depicting one SSgt who lived with his mother,  he had this individual accosting a lady of the night, if you would.   Underneath a lampshade.

On another a picture of the Instructor fishing and a sharp coming up to get him.

The instructor fell out each time,  at this guy's tremendous gift.   I guess we NCOs rock.     haha
