The military would greatly benefit if there were more active duty chiropractors!

My OIC is a chiropractor in the civilian world but not in the Army as the skill is not recognized, per say. He has written white papers to several senators and representatives explaining why the military could benefit from this. so far, no movement

FlorAnne Cruz - About a year or so ago. He was asked to write them. Had all kinds of practicing chiropractors on board, to include their association, but was told by the politicians that they tabled the idea for now

Not strictly speaking, however, there are DOs (Osteopathic Doctors). Military medicine is designed around mobility, and there is limited application to chiropractors down range (can't be cross utilized in different areas). Most of the DOs are trained in manipulations, whether or not they still perform them is totally at their discretion. Oddly, I do have a flight surgeon who was a chiropractor prior to going to med school (was also a mortician). Very interesting guy.
