Are former soldiers of a unit that has updated and/or created new a CSIB/SSI-FWTS authorized to wear it?

Are former Soldiers of a unit that has updated and/or created new CSIB/SSI-FWTS i.e. the 160th authorized to wear it, or do they display those of the USASOC? Yes I’ve read AR 670-1. Even had a séance with General von Steuben to help me with the big words(I’m a Tanker), to no avail. Appreciate the input.

I am no expert on this. I would THINK that you are authorized the SSI-FWTS that you were authorized when you got it. Otherwise, what would we do for folks who are authorized a SSI-FWTS for units that have been retired, and are no longer authorized at all?

I really just wanted to comment and give you an big "thumbs up" for the seance with von Steuben. I love creatively humorous expressions, and encourage them wherever I can.
