I am graduating from DLI in two weeks and beginning the long drive back to my unit in PA. My wife and I already plan to see the Grand canyon bu there is a lot of road between Arizona and PA. Any must see stops you can think of?

I am a big fan of route 66, there are so many historical and interesting sites along that road that everyone should take the trip at least once in their lives.

It really depends on which highway you are driving, I-40 vs I-80. Both of which travel through major cities, like vegas, salt lake city, denver, kansas city, st. louis, chicago, indy, etc. I am sure there is much to see depending on what you like to do and how much time you have.
