America doesn’t have a gun problem.

The problem that America has is a generation or two that have no respect for human life. They’ve been taught that only they matter. They haven’t been given any coping mechanisms. They’ve all been told that they’re special little flowers when they’re not. They haven’t been taught to survive and expect everything to just be handed to them with little to no effort.

As soon as it was made illegal to discipline our kids for being jerks, these issues started to arise.

You're welcome for the read and for sharing.
You shall not trailblaze. But you should read it, or simply not respond. Maybe down-vote this response. Whichever works.

Sgt I am not going to down vote you or vote you up because I am not going to disrespect your opinion or position on this issue but this country doesn't have a gun problem it has a mental health issue

SPC Gary Welch - This response wasn't about the article at all. It was to kill the possibility of someone coming to the thread simply to say "thanks for sharing". I think the country's issue stems from trust between citizens and the government. The graphs regarding suicide may be related. There's a lot going on in our society and its mentally draining.

I read the article or most of it. But it was so biased that I had a tough time getting through it. I have read other thorough reports that provide statistical information that refutes the articles argument. The point is that statistics can be easily bent to prove the point of the author.

While my personal experience as a 30+ LE professional differs from the conclusion of the article, I appreciate the effort you took to post it.

I'm interested in understanding both sides more. Please share the reputable article that opposes the original post.
