Question. I am prior service Army (National Guard) that completed my orginial contract, ETS'd still in IRR then re enlisted to active duty. I re classed from 11B to another MOS as well. I am still in training at this point and my ERB has been wiped clear of any schools and info pertinent to my time in the military. I have managed to get a good portion of my ERB back up to date but I am still running into a few issues. First, my unit S1 is telling me they can not put my PMOS as 11b due to "break in service." I find this hard to believe as I was still IRR when I re enlisted and MOS qualified. Second, my orders from MEPS state the correct rank but my orders from my training site phase 1 location and training site phase two location state I am PV2...I attempted to contact HRC with no answer via email, who do I need to get in contact with to fix this? Thank you for your time.

Until you graduate from your current MOS training, your PMOS is still 11B so I'm not sure why the S1 would tell you that. The break in service hold no matter. I know this because I had a break in service (5.5 years) and when I came back in and until I graduated from my new MOS school, my PMOS was 68W (as that was the last MOS I held before getting out). As for your orders, you will need to talk with S1 and have your orders taking you to Phase 2 amended to read the correct rank. Worst case scenario for your ERB is to have all your documents ready and attempt to have it corrected again when you get to Phase 2 and/or your permanent assignment. But honestly, your S1 can easily fix all this..........if they want to do the work.

Appreciate it..I am at my phase two site currently (6 months) and graduate in a few months, reason why I want to fix it before I PCS. That is what I figured but this S1 seems to have some issues.

Once you graduate AIT, bring copies of everything missing to your S1. They are able to correct ERBs.

I retired in 1999 so this might be dated, when you are in training to obtain a new MOS, your PMOS is reflected as the new MOS with a 00 suffix. (i.e 88M00). This allows for effective personnel management. Personnel with the 00 suffix were managed by AIT branch for their follow on assignments, schools, etc. until they received their new MOS. Whereas, if they left your PMOS as 11B in the system you would be managed by Infantry branch.
