I have spent the last 10 years thinking that failure to follow the regulations and officers  appointed above you was punishable, if not punitive. So when i read that portions of AR670-1 was to be Punitive it made me wonder... Isnt failure to follow regulation a Punitive Article? If so the what does making a Regulation Punitive?

Article-92 Failure to Obey Order or Regulation.

If I dont cut my hair i am failing to Obey Regulation. If i dont wash myself i am failing to Obey Regulation. If i dont maintain a neat and Professional appearance i am failing to Obey Regulation.

That being said, Doesn't Article-92 make all Regulations Punitive?

Punitive regulaitons literally says this can be punished or is punitive. And is also sometimes limited to specific paragraphs only.

670-1 is not punitive and cannot be punished...however an order to obey it can (winkyface)
