A good read concerning the actions of one of our WW II veterans.

CSM Michael J. Uhlig The thing that strikes me the most is "somebody needed to do it and I was there". Pretty much sums up the story of the American Military.
Very nice read. Thanks for the post!

What a great story, CSM Michael J. Uhlig. What strikes me most about Albert Durago is his humility. I think that's probably a common trait among real heroes. Not egocentric at all; in it for the common good, for the country. Thanks for sharing that excellent story. We should never forget the lessons of WWII (and that battle), now 70 years ago.
