Jump with fish
Army SPC Matthew Tattersall, the Paratrooper who gained fame just last week for celebrating his final training jump by bringing his pet fish along with him and filming the experience on a Go-Pro camera, has now faced the wrath of the UCMJ for his stunt.

Some times the Army needs a sence of humor. Glad they didn't burn him to bad for his stunt. Let's not forget. The its kid volunteered to serve his country while others his age are avoiding work or responsibilities all together. One of my pet peeves while serving was a leader that was UCMJ happy. A informal written reprimand would have been good in this case. Hope the kid has a great career and he took the term flying fish to new heights

As cool as it may seem, I could certainly see this getting out of hand as young soldiers decide to try to start one up each other. Better to nip it in the bud now. Gotta give an A for inguinity though.

Wouldn’t have wasted the time and ink. Would have gave him a coin and with .50c he could get a cup of coffee in my office.

When you are preoccupied with your little stunt for attention you are not paying attention to detail and endangering other soldiers. Doing stupid shit even as trivial as filming yourself on a jump with your pet fish "millennial pet" can cause epic failure. I've seen to many stupid mistakes lead to serious injuries and death. Not to mention public opinion of someone who has no military bearing posting on Social Media makes other military professionals look bad. There is a time and place for being a clown and this wasn't it.

Petty, yes, but extremely necessary in order to dissuade ever ongoing "top this" stunts while falling at terminal velocity. First a fish, then a dog, and eventually some idiot and his/her pet goat create a robot too large to blame on an overweight ruck. I would opt for a letter of reprimand and a stern lecture regarding poor decisions. Give that soldier his wings, send the fish to go find Nemo.
