Media bias in criminal cases

I noticed a recent post in which many people were outraged that a convicted E9 was given a life sentence. I'd like to remind all of us that the media always paints the defendant as guilty.

Luckily I haven't been a defendant yet but I really think that if the media had any say in any sentencing or verdict we would all be found guilty
