I had an ATTRS slot for Infantry man ALC at Fort Benning in March. But my unit was deploying, and dropped a 4187 so I could deploy. Now that I am back and promotable, I need to get it back. I have called branch to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

You might call the school house and talk with them about a walk on. Many times there are no shows or cancellations, like in your case. Your ATARs manager or schools manager at the BN or BDE should also be able to see all available seats and help you. I recommend the Program managers in your COC route first before calling about walk on status.

SGM, when I worked at the AMEDD NCOA, it was about 2 years ago that "walk-ons" were not being accepted. It had something to do with creating an unfair advantage to personnel in the local area.

Your best bet is to have your Schools NCO contact the NCOA operations cell. Your BN shcools NCO will also be valuable and may call on your (as well as others) behalf. So don't circumvent them, it may cause more confusion and duplication of efforts. More than likely the NCOA will tell them to push the 4187, but NCOA will give the most updated information for what needs to be put on the 4187. DA has a tight-hold on the ATTRS reservations, so involving your entire food chain will assist with over-watch as your request is processed.

Doing good brother. Busy as hell in Europe. Hit me up on messages so we don't string out business and sound like to old saps hashing over the good old days. :)

I have an 11B ALC that will conduct towards the end of February. I get active guys all the time, ours is only 19 days in length and is OASS. If you're still in a bind I can take you as a walk on space permitting. We usually are never maxed out.
