Saw this article today and in the shadows of the news last week out of Fort Hood and just all the other things mentioned about Veterans in general; this article takes a different point of view.
Check it out. Do you agree with the author? What can we as Veterans do to help get the full "Veteran Story" out to the public?
The time has come for an authentic view of United States veterans. Unresolved misperceptions about veterans are costly for society generally, but particularly damaging for the business sector.

Great article, I totally agree with the author. It is up to us as veterans to train and teach each other on every tool that is out there and available for veterans.

Information sharing is huge as you pointed out. I think we also have the challenge of showing civilians that not every Veteran comes home without a leg or an arm. While I say those that have paid a higher price; either by losing a body part, body funcation or paid the full price deserve everything they are given, the face of the "typical" Veteran has changed.
