This Sailor just qualified as a USAF Flight Chief. What accomplishments did you have jointly?

PO1 Ethan Holland qualified as a Security Forces Flight Chief. As members are released & recruitment numbers dwindle due to cutbacks, what are some of the joint operations that you've seen? What accomplishments have you attained while serving jointly?

Joint is the way to go. Consolidation of resources and facilities makes sense in some cases. In the case of Holland, he was a Master at Arms, so Security Forces is not a stretch. He apparently understood the responsibility of being the "first" and not wanting to fail, so he excelled. Kudos.
I have worked jointly with Army and Marines after 9-11. Always interesting when you work jointly, but it is always a great learning experience for the troops.

Not to take anything away from him but in the joint world which this is it's not a big deal. I believe there were MA's that served as Flight Chiefs at Travis AFB in the late 90's when the Navy and AF shared all the Security/LE responsibilities. It's cool they are giving the guy credit but not really as big of a deal as they are making it out to be.

Very true, I qualified for Flight Chief as a SSgt. The test wasn't that difficult. While the job is a huge responsibility, most good flights run themselves.
