You have been requested to appear at a Courts-Martial Hearing (Witness).  The hearing is scheduled at the same time as your child-birth due date.  The hearing is in another country from your current assignment, so you obviously are more than a "phone call away".  What do you do?  What are your options?

Ask for a VTC deposing. It is legal and allowable as long as there is a JAG in the room to swear the oath

Is there a special way to request this, or just plea with the attorney?

I would work with the local JAG where you are at and they should be able to help.

I had a coworker in the same situation. VTC was the answer. Of course, my coworker was the pregnant one, so doctor's orders overruled the JAG's desire to have her physically present.

Communicate with your JAG, I've seen court-martials get rescheduled for all kinds of reasons. They may also let you do it via VTC.
