Discussions on ISIS destroying history haven't been in short supply, but how to go about preventing the complete loss of what is destroyed hasn't been really addressed. As a general rule there are some news sites that are better than others, but every site has a great article at times. The below one from the Daily Beast is very interesting:

SCPO David Lockwood I completely agree.
I would love to go to a museum with some accurate proportions, but obviously downscaled, of models of things like the pyramids and sphynx. So I am hoping they pursue this and preserve what "used to be"

Excellent Idea. Not that I haven't tried to leave digital bread crumbs of my own history on-line for any of my ancestors.
