LTC (Join to see) Sgt Richard Buckner - We (U.S.) should consider it an attempted invasion onto American soil with unknown intent, and respond to it as such, an assumed terrorist threat from past encounters requiring an un-metered response, so as to ensure it's not to be considered again without proper US authorization. It's amazing what one, or two, effective responses could do to deter this activity. I would also recommend that we treat the drug smugglers crossing over, in kind, so that the words "War on Drugs" has an appropriate and clear understanding/meaning. It's going to have to happen sooner or later for those to get the message; sooner works just fine for me... :)

I am sure that that complaints have been lodged through diplomatic channels --- I really don't think we'll see much more than that happen. As the article points out, CBP has created a unit to coordinate and interact with Mexican officials to keep this from happening. I have seen this unit in action and they are making good progress.

With reciprocity; the same way they would treat our troops if we crossed over into Mexico.

SPC Sheila Lewis, it should also be noted that the Mexican government does not allow American law enforcement to be armed when in Mexico. I don't know about restrictions against our military.
I also do not trust Kerry. Or the Obama administration.
