I recommend balancing needs versus wants....I have been there, my first marriage ended in divorce, I was awarded my uniforms and my weight bench - that's it! DO you "want" a NEW VEHICLE or "need" one? Would a bicycle work? Could a $300 car work (that'll be the payment for a new car anyway...get some financial advice before jumping into a $15 - $20,000 hasty decision.

Awesome advice. It is time to reassess your life. A car is a money sink...meaning, it sucks money. Insurance, repairs, tires, gas, oil, inspections...it just keeps on sucking. Bad credit and no money may not be your fault, but it is your reality. Seriously consider living without a car for 6 months. Pay off all debts in those 6 months.

PFC (Join to see) ,

I would avoid those Pay Day Loan places like the plague. They charge more interest than a credit card, and you'd be in a worse position then before.

Agree with you completely SSG (Join to see). Whatever you end up doing, do not even consider one of these places. They should be illegal as they rob you of more than a home invasion.

And any car lot that wants to run your credit before you look at a vehicle. NEVER buy a Car Payment! Do a little research and NEVER PAY MORE THAN BLUEBOOK on a vehicle. That $150 buck a month payment looks nice, but when they run it over 60 months and you are paying 9 grand for a car that is probably worth 3. That's how people end up upside down on the car payments.

This is how a safety brief starts. I am just saying that I was a PFC a long time ago. I didn't have a car for for about two years after I joined the Army. As it has been said I really didn't need it. I did bum a lot of reads but I just didn't have the money for it. As a PFC you would really be losing a good portion of your check to a car and insurance. I would really think about alternatives.
