Copying & Pasting from an answer I gave on another thread*.

After board selection it's a waiting game and can vary from a few months to "Are you kidding me!!". Although it TYPICALLY is about 6-7 months, I know some DC officers that were waiting close to two years from the time the board met (not from the time they were notified ... that was a bit over a year).

SGT (Join to see) - Not a real answer for you but NEEDS of the ARMY. I believe I applied in March, was commissioned in June, and OBC Sept. This was 2003, I was graduating nursing school, and the Army needed nurses to take care of wounded soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan. Look at your MOS and how bad the Army needs you will drive that train. I pinned CPT at 38months and I believe it is now around 48months. Needs of the Army is one of the best things you can learn and understand.
