Great post. I have only had positive VA healthcare experiences… until I moved to the Philippines. The VA OPC in Manila here is “different.” I’m 100% S/C yet they have nothing to offer me. They run extensive outreach programs, yet don’t follow through with offering adequate care. Surely their outreach budget overshadows their direct patient care budget.
The problems is that in the US few know the truth about the Manila OPC. Many veterans arrive here with expectations that are not met. So they sadly return to the US giving up on their dreams.
Fortunately, very good private healthcare is available here and affordable!
