I live in St. Louis where as you all know people think its a good thing to protest the justifiable shooting once more, a year later. What my question is, Do these people really think blocking a major highway at rush hour, to stop people that actually work for a job from getting home really helps there cause?? Are they that dumb?

It seems to me that they are dumber than dumb....what possible good is it going to do to get on the highway and try and stop traffic...other than....cause an accident...become the accident...get people pissed off and want to cause an accident....lol just kidding....and how is this helping thier cause...what ever it is....ESPECIALLY since the STATE DEPARTMENT and the ATTORNEY Generals office CLEARED the officer of all and any charges and or accusations and PROVED without a DOUBT that HANDS UP DON'T SHOOT was TOTALLY FABRICATED.... There is absolutely NO reason for these people to be out in the middle of a busy highway acting like fools....like it's meaning something....It doesn't!
"hands up don't shoot" was totally fabricated...a BIG FAT LIE.... so what's there to protest....the whole riot thing happened because of theis ONE BIG FAT LIE....WHAT they should be doing is APOLOGIZING for all the cars and stores they burned down...for all of the damage caused and inflicted on the people who live in Ferguson and what they should be doing is having a FUND RAISER to help out all of those who lost so much in the SENSELESS RIOTING!!!!

If the goal was to get attention for their cause, then yes the protest blocking the interstate helped them by bringing attention to them. No I do not think it was appropriate.

But the problem is that it brings negative attention to their cause in this kind of situation. They just need to find a more productive way to advance the cause than upsetting people.

I don't think blocking the intersection is appropriate but they do have a right to protest. When the protest turns violent or the threat of violence occurs then the argument is lost.

sure they have a right to protest, but not in the middle of a busy highway.

Sgt Kelli Mays - I agree, not in the middle of a busy highway.
