With such a giant amount of options, what have you decided to do for employment after separating from the military? Did it require relocation? Are you satisfied with your decision?

I'm going to teach highschool history and coach a sport, any sport. My ideal sport would be basketball, either boys or girls, it doesnt matter.

MCPO Roger Collins - I guess there is a disadvantage of starting on that ladder in your late 30s to early 40s

I used to hire every military vet with instructor training I could get. We are used to getting results and there wasn't a union to tell us how to manage our people. Most of the Senior NCOs advanced quickly, as a retiree, I was 39 when I started in the civilian industry. It is a good secure career path, regardless of which you choose. Good luck!

Army or DoD civilian. Can't beat it: As a DA civilian, I'm still affiliated with and working for my beloved Army. I've been doing this since retirement, almost ten years, and I love it.

I decided to look into jobs that directly relate to my passions of fitness, IT, and music production. Therefore, I'm working as a health coach, doing a lot of IT training outside of college, and working on music copyrights.
