With the coming political elections (next year) I though this novel would be a fun submission for RP Book Club. I've mentioned the M.Y.T.H. (Myth) series and Robert Asprin previously. This novel was actually written after his death by one of his co-writers, Jody Lynn Nye, but stays true to the series, and the characters.

In general the series touches not so much on the military, but it does have flavors of leadership, critical thinking, mentorship, respect, among other things we would find of interest. This particular novel however I think is especially apt however for the modern Citizen.

It touches on the election process. I thought parallels between not only the Bush, Clinton, Perot election, but the current election involving Donald Trump were rather interesting. It highlights how the Media can manipulate the Citizen.

It's definitely worth a read. Although reading the rest of the series will help establish some back story, it is far from necessary.

I've read the entire MYTH series. I will have to reread them now that you've reminded me. Thanks, Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS!

Edit: I thought i read them all... Made it to M.Y.T.H. Inc. in Action Now I'll have to buy the rest on Amazon.

I love the series as well. As I've aged, and reread the books, it's amazing what new lessons I've picked up from them (and others).

I have these (the first 10~) on audio, because they make great "stuck in traffic" material, and go through them every couple years.
