do you think that all the services should cross train their supply troops so we all know each others system?

I think that cross-training is some of the support MOSs would definitely help in the long run. Training could occur as a block of instruction or two in NCOES or during pre-deployment training. I think that it would be useful to units that usually operate in other services areas of operations. During my tour in Iraq, we operated under the Marines for the majority of our deployment. We learned how they did business with regards to logistics, communication, etc. Too easy to pick up on the job.
Good question and something that I think that "the powers that be" should look at in the future.

I think this would be a great idea. Being that I work in medical supply in a joint hospital environment I know what it's like to have someone from a different branch of service work with you but not understand the whole process which made things a little more difficult.
