Anywhere in Germany would have been nice if I had stayed AD longer. Got to go there TDY in the Guard and realized how nice it was.

1SG David Niles - I spent 30 days doing a range clearance in Panama. We went diving in the afternoons after it got too hot to work. AWESOME! Warm water and great visibility. Now I'm not saying you missed out 1SG, but I would have loved to have been stationed there if Carter hadn't givin' it away... :D

Eglin and Ramstein. Problem is I'm into the Navy. Still hoping to get Sigonella.

Pretty hard to complain about San Diego that's true. I'm here now. Really, I can't complain about anywhere I've been. Whidbey Island, Hawaii, Guam.

I think you're right PO2 Brian Rhodes but I just want to be stationed in Europe.

Eglin for me as well. Stationed there for 10 years though. Awesome work, great place. Lived in Niceville and on base.
I really wanted Kadena or Guam as well, but no luck.

Capt Seid Waddell, Range 51 is the Navy EOD School. 52W is the small charge demo day range for the NAVSCOLEOD (EOD School). I taught there right at 6 years (1990-1996ish. 52N is the 1,000lb demo range for the EOD School. When I moved to the mainside EOD shop (1996-2000) we were on all the ranges depending on the mission we worked. Lots of cool missions. Some trash details to. I missed MOAB by a few years but got some good video from some guys that were still there. Those were the days. I enjoyed beating around the ranges with my family on the weekends. Too bad they closed it off, but I'm sure there was a good reason...

TSgt David L., the guards said it was for the safety of the public. It was significant to me that the guards were civilians, not military.

It would seem that the budgets and the pace of development is less than it was during the war when I was there.

I'm sure the budget is smaller than it was. We seem to have lost some of the forward thinking as of late. What with the whole world being our friend why would we want to continue advancement of or ordnance development...? (re: sarcasm)

I was stationed everywhere I wanted to be. I had no desire to go to Okinawa or Hawaii, so Pendleton, 29 Palms, and Lejeune were just fine with me.
