Is there a regulation that states you cannot wear eye protection or other eye wear on top of your head?

O.k. I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer to. I have gone though AR 670-1 and looked at almost every alaract message that has come out about the uniform and I can't find anything that states that you are not aloud to wear your eye protection, or any eye wear for that matter, on top of your head. I did see how you are not aloud to let them hang down around your neck with the cord attached to them though. I'm trying to square away some soldiers and I just want to make sure I have it in black and white to back it up.

I don't think it says anywhere you can't wear them on your head. It also doesn't say anywhere you can't crap in your sink whilst living in the barracks.

I was a little short with the answer.
Just because the regulation doesn't specifically say you cannot do something, does not automatically mean you can do it.
Regulations can never foresee nor cover all circumstances or incidents, therefore it is the leaders prerogative to exercise proper jurisprudence in the enforcement of good order and discipline.

Well that tells me that if his NCO is telling him that he is o.k. with wearing them on top of his head, then that shows me the lack of professionalism on his part, 1SG. But that's just my opinion of course.
