If you are a USAjobs user, you go running when they send you a message that the status of a position you applied for has just been updated (possible job offer). The internet scamming scum of the earth types are apparently using them to get you to give up your info so their home page now has a warning. Please read it before you become a possible victim.
BTW, I just got the notification that I was turned down for a position that I applied for from 2 YEARS AGO. 2 YEARS AGO!!
Important message concerning Email Scams

Is waiting 2 years unacceptable to you SFC Mark Merino ? ;)
It doesn't surprise me that scammers would find a way to use USAjobs and other job sites for this type of thing. They know people are looking and if you get an email with the promise of employment you may be quicker to react than if you got an email from the crowned prince of some country who needs your help getting his millions of dollars out of the country before the rebels take over the banks.

It seems to me that the larger the govt gets, the more opportunity there is for scammers.
I received one of those "declined" offers a year after I applied for a position through USA Jobs. I called it bureaucracy at it's finest.
