Over the weekend I saw that there was a leak of leaders training for the upcoming changes to AR 670-1

this it seems that not much will be changed. With exception to tattoo's the
training only really nails down the grooming standards for male and female haircuts
and styles (sideburns stay the same), the small blurb about civilian clothes is
something that should be common sense. With all that do you think this will
make a difference and does it really nail home what the standards are and how
we need to enforce, or do you think the leaked training is a fake?

The absolute biggest change to AR 670-1 is that it in itself is now Punitive. That is huge. The training is very real, and to be honest it wasn't really leaked. It isn't a secret as this is going to be the slides that we as leaders inform our soldiers with. The tatoo policy is pretty big but it will be up to the commander to institute the policy. That may in fact take years upon years as a system of this nature isn't easily instituted.
