Who would purchase a military vehicle for recreational use?

I have heard some soldiers mention that they wouldn't mind driving a HMMWV as a personally owned vehicle. What about other military vehicles? Would anyone own a vehicle other than a HMMWV?

My friend did. And drives it in parades. He has a group of friends who drive them

Heck yes. I would purchase an old M998 HMMWV. I wouldn't mind having an old 2 and 1/2 too.
