Gloria Gonzalez, my advice would be to contact your state's Veteran Affairs office. They would have a comprehensive view of the state and federal programs you might be eligible for. To find your sate's VA offices, do an internet search with your state and 'veterans affairs' (i.e., Texas veterans affairs).

Additionally, if you haven't already, you may want to work with one of the Veteran Service Organizations to see if there is any connection between his Dementia and military service. The VA treats service-connected traumatic brain injury, depression and PTSD (to name a few) as presumptive causes of dementia.
