It is a solution for the National Guard. I like it. I am in the National Guard and we come together one weekend a month to an Armory were we really don't have any self defense measure. Where else could to go to a remote area and find upward to 200 soldiers and know none of them are armed. It would make a suitable target. We have many cops in the National Guard so may letting them carry while in uniform be a step in the right direction or allow those with a CCW to carry during drill.

Serving a remote location and location that has an extremely high Arab community worries me everyday. My current organization consists of over 6000 DA civilians and about 200 Soldiers. One thing about us here at TACOM, we are never concentrated in one area. You might find 5-15 of us together at one time, other than that we are spread out all over the place.

CW4 (Join to see) It shows a lot of confidence in the military by these governors and let's see if other states start following in line right behind them. This is what happens when big government doesn't know what to do or say in light of the (5) individuals that lost their lives. State governments start working it out themselves.

I agree Sir. It's a shame that that the State governments have to step up and make decisions like this because our federal government is slow or fails to react.

These sorts of decisions were intended to be made by the States in the first place. I'm glad to see some of the States are reasserting their constitutional prerogatives. Leaving people defenseless by law, or regulation, should cause people to question the motives of their government, Local, State, or Federal.

It would be a start the fed government can't get together and set something up and provide protection. They won't agree on anything.

The only difference between him and the other states that are now arms is that he relocated recruiting facilities into armories that are better protected. Oklahoma has had all of their recruitment out of armories for several years now. I think that is just good management.
