Weather wise, you're looking at 80s-90s daily temp. Humidity is average around 60-70%. Terrain is varied. From flat to mountain.

As for getting mentally prepared....just know you're going to be tired, physically and mentally taxed.

If you're shipping out in May, you'll be there into the summer. Expect it to get hot as hell, maybe somewhat humid too. I went to Advanced Camp in Kansas during June/July, and it was pretty rough. Freaky and scary storms too.
