As a junior officer I always found it more advantageous to say 'Yes' or 'aye aye sir' than to say 'No'. I never rose to the position where I had the stroke or could afford to say 'No' when told or asked to do something. Delegating is also tricky, as people tend to use all the available time themselves before delegating a task, with no or little time for subordinates to run through their planning process and execute at their end. A mistake higher-ups take quite easily.

This is a great article, very interesting. I have issues with touching things more than once. I put certain things on the backburner because in my previous assignments I've played the role of a fire extinguisher having to always put out small fires and this would keep me from bigger and more important tasks at hand. I have no problems sticking to schedules during meetings because I hate to be in meetings. I have definitely have no problem saying no, respectfully of course. You can't be a successful Chief Warrant Officer if you don't have the ability to say no and the ability to articulate as too why your answer is no. I'm a multi-tasker and there is nothing that I can do about it. I love technology. I wished that I could get off the grid, even if it was for 15 minutes. Delegation of authority has always been my achilles heal but I'm working on that everyday. Overall, I think that I am a very productive person but I can make improvements in some areas too.
