I used to have an @mail.mil email, but when I logged onto the computer at work the other day I saw my email was changed to @health.mil. I have no emails being sent to this email. This is very frustrating. I need to access my old emails because I have a copy of my orders on there. Has anyone had this problem before and either a) how can I transfer my old emails to my new email address or b) how can I access my old pcs orders/ my current assignment orders without iperms because my s1 did not upload my orders onto there. Thanks

You're at a @health.mil because you're in a hospital network. In the future you might be at an Army.mil network or a socom.mil network.

As for your orders you should have a copy in your possession. Keep a copy of every single set of orders, promotions, and clothing records you ever receive in your Career.

If you just arrived at your current unit, your last unit has a copy of your orders. If you didn't, your current set of orders are probably not that important. If they are critical, there's always a secondary route to getting what you need. Just remember, you're not the first person in the Army to have whatever problem you're having now.

Shouldn't a copy of SPC (Join to see)'s orders be in her iPERMS or was there a change to what goes in?

COL Randall C. it should be, but she said it's not uploaded. It happens a lot actually

SFC (Join to see) - Doh ... lack of attention to detail in her question on my part. Agree regarding 'it happens a lot' .. I think less than half of all my orders (since they started uploading them) have made it into iPERMS. 'Big ticket' ones usually do, but that's not a guarantee either.

SFC (Join to see) - Probably true, but with Murphy's Law still in effect, it is better to CYA and not need them than later for some odd reason find out you do.

At first guess it sounds like you didn't complete the email migration when the DHA went to MED365.

https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v= [login to see] 77648

Try the instructions at this link and see if it works - https://co.ng.mil/Portals/25/Documents/Assisted-Email-Migration.pdf

** NOTE ** - these are specific to a NGB Soldier migrating. While most of the steps/answers are the same, some (like 'NGB' for your organization) might be different for you.

Worst case, call the Army Enterprise Service Desk at [login to see] and see if they can help finding your missing emails.

Help with your health.mil account can be gotten from the MHS Service Helpdesk - https://www.milsuite.mil/book/groups/mhs-service-helpdesk/pages/mhs-service-helpdesk

How/why are medical folks getting migrated to HEALTH.MIL? I've been noticing that trend lately.

Part of the DHA's MED365 migration (which is part of the overall Army 365 migration away from Enterprise Email).

COL Randall C. - Thank you, Sir. I was very curious about this. Back in November, my unit had a visit from folks from Public Health Command and we learned that it converted to DHA and their emails were now Health.Mil. Which also has me curious because I'm still using the army.mil. As long as I don't have to worry about another email conversion....
